I saw someone make these online and just had to make some of my own! These are quite possibly the best and easiest do-it-yourself Halloween decor I have seen or done yet. It required little time, effort, or money to put them together.

I bought two simple Jack O' Lantern candy holders from Wal mart. I think they were $2 each. If you want to spend a little extra and get the fancier ones, go for it. The only limit is your imagination, but I was looking for cost effective and spooky cool, so the Wal Mart ones worked for me.

Next up was choosing a lamp. Again, the fancier your lamp the more it will cost you, but you can get a decent lamp at Walmart as well for about $10-15. The cool thing about this project is that a single lamp could cost you less than $20!

This is an example of the simplest lamp on the market and is generally about $10. You may be able to find something even cooler at the one of the Dollar Stores. You just have to check around.

I found two cool lamp that were the same general style but one had a wide base. That way each lamp had its own uniqueness. On a side note, I am keeping an eye out this Halloween season for any additional decor I can add to the lamps. i made mine before all the cool stuff hit the shelves.

To put these together you will need a drill with a with a wide enough bit (or a little creativity) to bring it all together. To make mine (yes, I did it the hard way) I traced the top of the lamp where the bulb sits to the bottom of the pumpkin holder with a sharpie. Be sure to get it as center as possible so it doesn't tip over.

Next, I took my drill, with the wrong size bit I may add, and began to trace the marker lines with the bit. Now, if you have the right sized bit this would be a cinch, but I like to do things the hard way. Once I had the circle cut through, I trimmed the edges with an exactor knife, although I recommend sandpaper or a file to smooth the edges. I do not own either of those things, hence the knife.

Once the hole is trimmed and smooth, simply slide the pumpkin over the top of the lamp, be sure to unscrew the ring that secures the base. re-screw the ring back over the pumpkin to hold it and then add your lightbulb. I recommend an LED bulb that doesn't heat up really hot. Remember, the pumpkin is plastic and could melt. It is crazy, but it really is just that simple. A few bucks and few tools, and a little imagination and you could have one of the coolest lamps ever! They are surprisingly bright and lights up the room an awesome red. If you have any cool DIY Halloween ideas let me know!!
