Dusty's thoughts of the day...Nov 28th
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday yesterday with good food and great times with friends and family! I am little late posting today, it has been a little busy, but here I am. My thoughts today were on time and how quickly it seems to go by. Of course, we know that time moves at the same pace every day, seconds, minutes, and hours, but it feels like it goes so quickly. I can't believe that Halloween and Thanksgiving are over and Christmas will be here before we

Dusty's thoughts of the day...Nov.26th
Good morning, everyone!! We are one day closer to Thanksgiving and I for one am looking forward all that good food. I will be spending most of the day today getting appetizers and desserts ready for tomorrow. Yesterday I added an art section by my website and some new blog entries, be sure to check them out when you get a chance. I am also going to be adding a page to the site dedicated to my 80's memorabilia collection. I hope to have that up by this weekend. I will keep you

Mat Memories...
My favorite tag team...The Hart Foundation (1987) Professional wrestling was a big part of my life growing up. I guess in some ways it still is. My memories of pro wrestling date back to as far back as I can remember. My Father and I were never really what you would call close. We loved each other, I certainly had a great deal of respect for my father, but we never had the close relationship that most father and sons have. He was a war veteran and country boy; I was a nerd a

Dusty's thoughts of the day...Nov. 25th
Good morning, all! It is terrific Tuesday! Yes, I am going to continue giving Tuesday it's props. Two days from Thanksgiving and I hope you have not waited too long to get your holiday meal prep going. The next couple of days at the grocery stores will be like an Indiana Jones adventure to be sure LOL. Speaking of Indiana Jones, let's talk movies or TV. I used to be a movie junkie, in fact in another lifetime I was an independent filmmaker for many years. I was all about movi

Dusty's thought of the day...Nov. 24th
Good morning, everyone! We have returned with another Monday, so it is time for me to brighten your day just a little bit with the nuggets of thoughts that circle around in my brain LOL. I am still on my countdown to Thanksgiving, and my taste buds are tingling. It is going to be a great day! How many of you out there have heard the song, "A Hand to hold on to" by John Mellencamp? If you haven't heard that song, you need to look it up. It is a great song with a very powerful

Dusty's thoughts of the day...Nov. 23rd
Good morning! It is hard to believe that it is Sunday already, but alas, it is. Oh well, not going to let the idea of Monday get us down today. I have a quick update to share and a fun topic to talk about this morning. For the update, I weighed in this morning at 263lbs, which means I have lost ten pounds in the last week and a half. My training sessions have been getting better and better as my strength and conditioning improve. But the best part is that I am starting to fee

Dusty's thoughts of the day...Nov. 22nd
Good morning, my friends! I hope everyone had a great evening, I know I did. I want to thank everyone who I saw at the Waynesboro tree lighting ceremony last night. It was a tremendous crowd. A few of you out there recognized me and said hello. That was awesome! I am also glad I got to see my friends Shauna and Tim at The Vintage Flame Candles. Always great catching up with them. I got to walk around the art gallery and visit the festival of trees showcase, if you get a chanc

Dusty's thoughts of the day...Nov. 21st
Dusty's thoughts of the day... Good morning to all of you out there! Happy Friday! We have made to the end of another week, and the weekend is just within grasp. I hope your week wasn't too stressful or overwhelming. This time of year can shorten people's patience and raise their anxiety levels. If you are experiencing that, hang in there. If someone you know wis experiencing higher levels of anxiety or are a little temperamental, be patient with them. There may be more going

Dusty's thoughts of the day... Good morning all my friends out there in the world. I hope you are having a great week! The weekend is nearly upon us and even though it is cold out there, make sure you get out and have some fun. Our area has several tree lighting ceremonies this weekend which I will be attending, so if you see me, please say hi! I love to talk to folks. I already have my tree up at home for this year, so I am set, but I do love to see the community trees being

Dusty's thoughts of the day... Good morning, friends! Do you have the mid-week blues? Well, I am here to cheer you up! I hope everyone's week has gotten off to a good start. Turkey day is coming in hot! I can't wait!!! My thoughts this morning are on the late, great, Fred Rogers. That's right, Mr. Rogers from the Neighborhood. Like most folks my age, I grew up watching the popular PBS TV show when I was a little tyke. I never truly understood the messages he was sharing; I ju
