Good morning, my friends! I hope everyone had a great evening, I know I did. I want to thank everyone who I saw at the Waynesboro tree lighting ceremony last night. It was a tremendous crowd. A few of you out there recognized me and said hello. That was awesome! I am also glad I got to see my friends Shauna and Tim at The Vintage Flame Candles. Always great catching up with them. I got to walk around the art gallery and visit the festival of trees showcase, if you get a chance check that out.
I am sorry to my friends in Greencastle that I was not able to make it out last night, but I will be out for the parade this morning. So, I hope to see some of you out there.
You all know that I try to keep these posts very upbeat and inspirational, but sometimes I have to comment on the things that I see that bug me. Last evening, when I was getting my groceries for the upcoming holiday feast, I overheard some things that nearly caused me to make a scene, I didn't, but I almost did. An elderly lady was just doing here thing and getting her groceries at a speed that was comfortable for her, and a couple felt that she was a hinderance to them. They made rude comments about her speed and her age in a volume that she could hear. The guy even got so impatient that he pushed her cart out of the way so he could get what he was looking for with consideration for her. That was where I nearly intervened, but they moved away without any further interaction.
I went over and spoke with the woman, who was very sweet, and apologized for their lack of dignity and patience. She was so funny and told me they didn't bother at all. I really felt for her and stuck close by to make sure she got her shopping finished without any more rudeness inflicted upon her.
So, I ask this of everyone out there. Be patient. There are plenty of other aisles in a store and there are entrances at both ends. If someone is "holding you up" go to a different aisle and then come back. Or go around to the other end. But most of all, keep your comments to yourself. Fortunately, this woman was tougher than they were, and she shrugged them off like two fleas on a dog. Take into consideration the needs of others. She had every right to be in that store, getting what she needed, at whatever was most comfortable for her.
Well, it is time for me to get myself ready for a fun day. I hope you all have a great day as well. Love you all and be sure to subscribe to my website for my daily and photos of my adventures!!
